11 Wellness Tips & Gentle Reminders for the Planning Bride by Cassie B. of Cassies Cure

BLOG UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Planning your dream wedding sounds like it can be a big emotional responsibility. It’s a magical day that you and your loved ones are looking forward to! Everyone is ready to celebrate one of the most beautiful love stories ever. And while everyone is getting ready for this to be the best day ever, no one is really thinking about all the time and effort it goes into planning this beautiful day.

There’s certain things the brides or the grooms have to go through in advance that no one really sees or talks about. Oh and if you’re the first in your family to plan a wedding, that can add an extra layer or two of work.

If you are a soon to be bridge who is making a checklist of the things you need to do for your upcoming wedding, my hope is that on your checklist you add something that prioritizes your mental health and emotional well-being. Because let’s face it, that is going to be the most important thing while planning your wedding and executing your big day.

Oftentimes we forget about self-care & wellness when we’re planning the wedding of our dreams but if you ask me, self-care and wellness should be one of the key components for any big and  special day.

When you are planning your wedding, it’s important to surround yourself with light and love. So I challenge you to figure out who and what this looks like. You also want to think about those individuals you might need to keep at a distance until things are all mapped out.

It’s also really important to really think about that dream team that’s going to help you get things done without having to worry so much. Who’s going to be able to process your meltdowns with you? Who’s going to help you think when you can’t think on your own? Who’s going to love you during your bridezilla moments? These are the people you want to help you out during this time.

If you’re going to plan & prepare for one of the best days in your life, you deserve to do it in peace with a peaceful community supporting you.

11 Wellness Tips  & Gentle Reminders for the Bride to Be:

  1. The love you share with your partner is more important than what’s currently worrying or stressing you.
  2. This is your special day, you deserve not to stress about it.
  3. There might be little hiccups but there’s no hiccups in the love that you two share and that’s what matters the most.
  4. Last minute changes might arise and that’s okay. One things that won’t change is the love you two share.
  5. Focus on doing what you love with those that you love.
  6. Surround yourself with people who make you happy and who know how to support you mentally and emotionally. Don’t plan your wedding with people who might bring your mood down more than they’ll bring it up.
  7. Be flexible with your planning, not with your love. Things change, venues and event coordinators may switch up. Always plan for your top 2-3 choices just in case anything happens.
  8. Allow yourself to cry. Wedding planning can be emotional. It’s okay to feel your feelings, just don’t let them allow you to forget why you’re doing all of this in the first place.
  9. If you don’t remember anything else, remember your why & remember the love you and your partner are about to share for a life time.
  10. Plan fun activities for you and your planning team to do outside of the bridal shower. Allow everyone to connect and love on each other.
  11. Don’t turn down good help! Remember it’s okay to outsource task!
