Alexis Hammond, MD, PhD is a Spelman College alumna and graduate of Meharry Medical College and Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in addiction research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she is on faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Clinically, she is board certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, and currently serves as a psychiatrist for Headspace Health. Her professional interests include identifying innovative and effective treatments for substance use disorder and other psychiatric illnesses, especially with the use of technology, with a particular focus on special populations, such as pregnant and parenting women, dually diagnosed persons and other marginalized communities.
Dr. Moneé Thomas is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is a Louisiana native, and a proud graduate of Howard University College of Medicine. She is the founder and physician at Glow Dermatology serving the Houston, TX community.

Katherine Haysbert is a multidisciplinary wellness expert committed to empowering women to reconnect with their health and prioritize their wellbeing. Katherine is a Certified Nutrition Consultant, Certified Natural Chef, and Integrative Energy Healer. She uses her expertise in various modalities to find the root causes of hormone imbalances that modern women struggle with, such as PCOS, menstrual cycle regulation, PMS symptoms, gut health, and fertility. Katherine marries the science of nutrition, food, and energetic healing to help others step into the healthiest, most authentic, and whole version of themselves possible.
Certified Behavior Analyst
Dr. Jada Tucker-Edwards is a BCBA-D (Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral) and is from Baltimore, MD. She has 13 years of experience in the field of ABA and began her journey working and assisting in research on the Neurobehavioral Unit at Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2009 while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Dr. Tucker-Edwards became a BCBA in 2015 and obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in May of 2020. During her PhD studies, Dr. Tucker-Edwards had the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa where she used ABA principles to promote justice reform and eradicate racism present within social structures across the country. Since then, she has had the opportunity to create cultural competence platforms at 2 different agencies where she has held group meetings and CEU presentations educating those on how to create behavior change to promote change at a systemic level. Dr. Tucker-Edwards has a wide range of experience across several domains of ABA but is most passionate about providing quality ABA therapeutic services and autism awareness resources to minority youth and their families. She is also very passionate about uplifting and mentoring members of her ABA community including those aspiring to obtain their BCBA or Ph.D. She is a co-founder of the Instagram support group @blackgirlsinaba, a community that means so much to her, and she is dedicated to highlighting and celebrating the work and accomplishments of black women in the field that may sometimes go overlooked or unnoticed (because representation matters). Through the promotion of community outreach and research, she hopes to improve the in-home model of ABA in underserved environments.

Her work focuses on making mental health topics more relevant and accessible for Black women, and she delights in using pop culture to illustrate psychological concepts. Named by Glamour as a Game Changer for her work in the mental health field, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana, her Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Arkansas State, and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia. Her work has been featured in Essence, Oprah Daily, The New York Times, HuffPost, Black Enterprise, and Women’s Health. Dr. Joy lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and two sons.
